A Marabella family’s Christmas was spoiled after being robbed at their home on Christmas Eve.
The family of ten were at their Central Street, Marabella home on Christmas Eve around 11:30 pm when three men, of which two were armed, entered the house and announced a hold-up.
The family members, several of whom were visiting from abroad for the holidays, were made to lie on the ground while the men raided the house for cash and valuables.
A 90-year-old woman was also assaulted by the men who demanded she tell them where the family’s money was kept.
The bandits took over $2,000 in cash, smartphones and a car which the family rented for the holidays.
Investigations are continuing.
